Okay, Merry Christmas everyone, and time for new music. This one is a hauntingly beautiful version of We Three Kings, by Gypsy Soul. Just stop reading and listen for a while.
The bass part during the bridge is one of the basslines that made me finally take lessons. I want to make music like that someday. (Yes I know, it's fretless 5-string... I have a 5-string Dean right now, and will graduate to fretless when I can manage those "impossible" stretches a little better!)
Grace and peace to you this holiday season.

beautiful...Max really enjoyed it too!
Gorgeous. Can't wait to have my son, the bass player, listen to it.
Where do you publish?
Also, my daughter, the lovely & gifted writer.... is graduating next week, and staying in an Apologetics staff position. If you are available, I might like to interact with you via email.
beautiful version!
glad to find you in the virtual world!
Thanks, Eric and Deana!
Sally, I'd be happy to swap email with your daughter. Or with you, about your daughter. Whatever.
As for being published, most of it has been in-house with World Impact, or through a church I was pastoring or visiting for some reason (either racial & class reconciliation, adoption/foster care, or God's heart for the urban poor and for cities in general).
But as of April 2005, I have begun my next career (er, one of them at least): freelance writing! So far I've had a poem (The Editor's Curse) published in a writers' magazine, and I wrote a first-person piece for the LA County Bicycle Coalition about this year's annual LA River Ride. I am working on a handful of short stories (fiction) and articles on bike commuting, transracial adoption, entrepreneurs who don't let "financial failure" define their venture's success, and other stuff I'm not ready to talk about yet. Yes, the rumors are true, there is a SF novel in the works, but after three months of feverish effort, I've had to put that on a back burner. Okay, in the fridge actually, at least until we get moved into this house on 37th Drive and I meet some other goals: Fjeldheim in the black, perhaps finish my MA, that sort of thing. Finishing Joy's adoption was on the list too, but that seems to be settled, FINALLY!
