  • Quote of the Day

Armando at dinner, no preamble or context:
(remember that both Kathryn and I are strong extroverts and probably talk too much)

"That's cool that some parents can talk. I ran into one, one time. I had heard of parents that talk but I'd never really met one. Remember that one man who had a big parent on a chain, in the park? It was pure red, but really blue along its wings..."

    ...oh, THAT sort of "parent"...

Clear diction is tricky when the tooth fairy isn't done with you yet.

  • haha! i love it! it took me a second to figure out it was a "parrot" and was REALLY puzzled by the fact that he said he'd never met a parent that talks! haha!

  • I got bit by a parent once. They are kind of loud, too. I hate it when parents poop everywhere. :)

  • When a parent goes into that odd panicky flutter, losing its grip on its perch so that it screeches and flaps about wildly... that's kind of fun to watch sometimes. Unless the parent belongs to you.

  • Yeah, I can just see his face and hear him talking so seriously about talking parents being cool, and Nic, Kathryn and Nathaniel just looking at him, wondering what in the world is going on!  Fun times at the dinner table!

  • Yes indeed. We miss you around our dinner table, as a matter of fact. Good to see you online, Jessica!
